The Student Ambassador Executive Board collectively oversees all workings of the organization. The Executive Board upholds the mission and values stated in the Student Ambassadors Constitution.
President Aaron Fromal (He/him) Aaron is a senior from Warrington, Pennsylvania with majors in Math and Secondary Education. He is also a tutor at the Science and Math Learning Center, as well as involved with JMU Relay for Life and Camp Kesem. As president, he oversees the Executive Council and general membership. He also acts as a liaison between Student Ambassadors and Admissions, other University entities, and external community groups.
Vice President of Admissions Carter Ward (He/Him) Carter is a senior from Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is earning a dual degree in International Business and Spanish. Carter is also involved with JMU SafeRides on campus and serves as their Membership Director. As Vice President of Admissions, he works closely with the Admissions staff to coordinate CHOICES, Open House, Ask the Experts, Duke for a Day visits, and other exciting programs for prospective students and their families.
Vice President of Membership Ryan Sauer (He/Him) Ryan is a junior from Virginia Beach, Virginia majoring in biology with minors in Human Resources Development & Pre-Law. He is also involved with the Student Government Association, serves as the Vice President of the Class of 2026, and was an Orientation Peer Advisor. As Vice President of Membership, he helps Ambassadors make the most of their experience within the organization by coordinating various events that engage both new and old members. He influences the future of the organization by developing the Fall Membership Drive that recruits new classes of Ambassadors.
Vice President of Committees Miranda Lattimer (She/Her) Miranda is a senior from Christiansburg, Virginia. She is a Communications Sciences and Disorders major with minors in Honors and Disability Studies. She is also a part of the ASL club and is currently working on research within the ReAL Lab looking at language differences between autistic and non-autistic individuals. As the Vice President of Committees, she oversees the Committee Heads as they plan and execute a wide variety of internal and external activities each semester. She helps Committee Heads plan events that incorporate service, philanthropy, fellowship, and fun.
Secretary Ginna Brothers (She/Her) Ginna is a senior from Norfolk, Virginia. She is a Communication Sciences and Disorders major with an Exceptional Education minor. She is also a research assistant for the Speech Acoustics Lab, a CHBS Ambassador, Secretary of NSSLHA, and a member of Best Buddies. As Secretary, she manages the day-to-day affairs of the organization by keeping track of points, recording meeting minutes, and ensuring all members actively progress towards meeting semesterly membership requirements.
Treasurer Andrew Coates (He/Him) Andrew is a senior from Madison, Virginia majoring in Computer Information Systems. Andrew is also a member of Theta Tau and the Marching Royal Dukes. As Treasurer, he is the lead for Student Ambassadors' financial approach, and acts as a liaison to the FEB office and the Student Government Association. He works closely with Committees and other internal leadership boards to ensure that our organization has all the supplies necessary to host engaging events.
Tour Coordinator Catie Kirkhorn (He/Him) Catie is a senior from Vienna, Virginia. She is a Biology major with a Neuroscience concentration. She also served as a 2024 Orientation Peer Advisor, is involved with Tri Beta , STEM Corps, and Neuroscience research. As Tour Coordinator, she works closely with Admissions to create monthly tour schedules and manage tour routes and logistics. She also plans and provides frequent tour trainings for current and new members, to ensure an excellent experience is provided for visiting families and prospective students.
Media and Communications Coordinator Gracie Evans (She/Her) Gracie is a senior from Richmond, Virginia. She is majoring in Hospitality Management with a General Business minor. Gracie is also involved with JMU SafeRides and was an Alternative Break Leader with the office for community engagement. As the Media and Communications Coordinator, she oversees all social media channels for Student Ambassadors, aiming to engage with the JMU community and interact with both current and prospective students. Additionally, she is responsible for capturing official photos at Student Ambassador events, designing merchandise, and maintaining the organization's historical records.
Standards & Inclusivity Chair Ben Scott (He/Him) Ben is a Senior Jazz Studies major with Music Industry minor from Virginia Beach, VA! He is also involved on and off campus playing in bands, ensembles, and performing at gigs all around Harrisonburg. As Standards & Inclusivity Chair, Ben works closely with the Standards Board to define, communicate, and uphold exemplary membership criterion for the organization. Through his work he aims to create and maintain an inclusive environment for prospective students, families, and our Student Ambassadors. Ben helps to not only improve members of Ambassadors as tour guides, but more importantly, as individuals.
